Name the decision-maker before work begins
Name the decision-maker and a backup contact, with clear limits for each. A person allowed to open the property is not automatically authorized to approve a new color, additional work or cost.

Plan the handoff before the return date
Plan the handoff separately from the day you come home. Agree on the completion review, who can attend, how questions are recorded and how any agreed corrections will be followed up.
Request the finish record and care instructions for the actual coatings. Specify which rooms or surfaces you need available and ask who will confirm readiness for normal use. A room can look complete in a picture while still having product-specific restrictions on cleaning or contact.
